Learn to make elegant and sturdy connections using traditional joinery techniques with. We’ll cover slitting, punching and drifting holes, mortise and tenon joints, pass through joints, banding and more. Each student will have the choice to make a single or a triple bottle wine rack utilizing the previously mentioned traditional joinery techniques. This class is suitable for intermediate and advanced students. Prerequisites: Participants must have prior forging experience and be well versed in traditional blacksmithing techniques, including but not limited to: basic hammer technique, upsetting. If you have no blacksmithing experience, we recommend Basic Blacksmithing #1 and #2 or equivalent skill before taking this class.
